About Me
- Name: Frank Yehudi
- Location: Israel
There’s little in the Jewish world or Israel that I believe in. Listening to religious or political pundits comment on cultural and social issues I notice that their statements reflect the belief that somehow things were better once and that with a little effort we can set them right again. They are looking for solutions and particular results. I think that limits the substance and value of what they have to say. I don’t feel so confined. I feel the game was up for us a long time ago when the elitist gangs of oligarchs and obscurants took over and I have little faith that things will ever improve. So if you read something in this blog that sounds like advocacy of a particular point of view please reject the notion. My interest in issues is only to point out how badly we’re doing, not to suggest a way we might do better. I view my people with a combination of wonder and pity. Don’t confuse my point of view with cynicism; the real cynics tell you everything is going to be all right. In case you are wondering, I am a joyful individual and a personal optimist. But I’m a skeptic about all else. Finally, what at times may sound like anger is really no more than sympathetic contempt.
